That is what the founding letter said: smoke one pack less and give the saving to the hometown. Ten years on it is still the same — every scholarship is paid from donations by townsfolk.

What your donation does
- Scholarships. In 2022 two donors each funded five students; you can say "one student is on me".
- Saplings. Land and saplings come from the Forest Enterprise; transport, planting days and care are ours.
- Classes and workshops. Run with the Public Education Centre; materials and kits are bought with donations.
Nobody is paid, there is no rent. Accounts are read and discharged at every general assembly.
Other ways
- Become a member — fees are steady income.
- Come on a planting day, or teach a class: volunteer tutor.
